What is Journey?
Journey is a weekend that builds on the principles of Cornerstone. It challenges men to continue their spiritual growth through personal talks, group sharing, prayer and the sacraments.
Who can attend Journey?
The weekend is open to all men who have attended a Cornerstone weekend regardless of which parish you may have made Cornerstone in. Journey is also open to men who have attended the weekend previously. Parts of the weekend have changed to make it feel new. These men can recharge their spiritual battery by experiencing Journey once again.
How does Journey differ from Cornerstone?
The Journey Weekend schedule is intentionally structured at a relaxed pace. This allows ample time for personal reflection and prayer, as well as one-on-one interaction between men.
Are there talks given on Journey?
Throughout the weekend, you will be challenged to take the experiences of the weekend and use them in your own spiritual journey. This is especially true of the talks given on Journey. While they do contain the personal experiences of the speakers, they are structured to give you tools and ideas for personal spiritual growth.
Where does the Men's Journey Weekend take place?
The retreat takes place at The Marian Shrine in Stony Point, NY, which is off the Palisades Parkway, about a 20 minute drive north of the NJ/NY Boarder. The Marion Shrine is a full service retreat facility, located in a scenic wooded setting in Northern Rockland County.
